Our stainless steel roller chains are made of 18-8 (AISI-304) stainless steel and are therefore particularly recommended for food industry applications and in saline and corrosive environments (acids, alkalis, etc.).
Due to the structure of stainless steel, it has a lower elasticity limit (definitive deformation of bushings and rollers) than chains made of ordinary steel. Apart from all the coefficients linked to the chain environment, it should therefore be considered that a stainless steel chain should not support a permanent load around 5 to 7% higher than its breaking load. All standard stainless steel sprockets are kept in stock.
