The last letter of the code (N or R) corresponds to the manufacturer's identification.
A double-row, angular contact ball bearing corresponds to a back-to-back assembly of two single-row, angular contact ball bearings. It consists of one inner and one outer ring, each with two raceways for the ball bearings.Axial loads can be accommodated in both directions.
On request, we can supply double-row, angular contact ball bearings with two different contact angles. 3200 and 3300 series bearings have a 32° contact angle and a filling slot on one side. When assembled, the bearing face without the slot should be positioned on the side with the greatest axial load. 3200B and 3300B series bearings have a 25° contact angle and can accommodate identical axial loads in both directions. (no slot).
Tolerances:
Double-row, angular contact ball bearings are only manufactured in a P0 normal-tolerance class.
Cages :
Double-row, angular contact ball bearings are manufactured with pressed steel or polyamide cages.
Acceptable misalignment:
Double-row ball bearings are not suitable when extensive misalignment needs to be corrected. Misalignment creates additional internal stress, which reduces the service life of bearings. Nonetheless, misalignment of 2 minutes can be tolerated.
Temperature of use:
- from -40°C to +125°C (peak at + 150°C).
- from -30°C to +100°C for bearing units with flingers.
Variations:
Numerous sizes are available for the 3200B and 3300B series with flingers, seals and/or grooves for snap rings (with or without grooves for snap rings).
| Normal Suffix | Definition |
| B | Contact angle of 25° without filling slot |
| M | Solid brass cage |
| TN | polyamide cage |
| 2RS | Two synthetic rubber seals |
| 2Z | Two steel flingers |
