Lambda chains
Even without lubrication, Lambda chains have an exceptional service life:
- 7 to 30 times longer than standard roller chains,
- 1.5 to 10 times longer than other types of self-lubricating chains,
- 1.2 to 20 times longer than other chains with self-lubricating bushings.
Energy loss is limited due to more flexible meshing. The higher resilience of the rollers reduces wear on the sprockets. They are fully interchangeable with BS chains (or ASA as applicable). Lambda chain is the most flexible in the world: it reduces load loss and minimises energy costs. Its use is particularly recommended to reduce maintenance costs.
Lambda WP chains
Lambda WP chains have the combined, decisive advantages of Lambda and WP chains (see above and below), offering an optimum response in the most arduous usage conditions.
WP chains
We recommend using WP (Water Protection) chain when you encounter one of the following three problems:
- stainless steel chains are not sufficiently resistant for your application or, if used, an excessively large-sized chain would be required.
- You have to replace standard steel chains too frequently, due to excessive corrosion.
- nickel-plated chains have a particular tendency to flake.
