This type of bearing accommodates radial and axial loads in one direction. Two bearings mounted in opposition can accommodate axial loads in both directions. These bearings can be manufactured with different contact angles (15°; 25°, 30° and 40°).
In the tables, only the angular contact ball bearings with a B suffix are indicated.
Bearings with a smaller contact angle are primarily used in machine tool spindles and high-speed applications For this series of bearings, we can supply a special "precision angular contact ball bearings for machine tools" catalogue on request.
By their design, a radial load applied to an angular contact bearing produces an axial component that needs to be balanced with a bearing of the same type mounted in opposition.
7200B and 7300B series angular contact bearings can be delivered for universal performance (BG and BETNU suffixes).
"BG" and "BETNU" universal performance
"BG" and "BETNU" angular contact universal performance ball bearings come singly and can be mounted in pairs. They can be paired up in an X, O or tandem arrangement.

In a tandem arrangement, radial and axial loads are supported by both bearings. This type of mount is used when axial loads are high, running in only one direction. Another bearing is needed, mounted in opposition to the two tandem bearings, to accommodate the shaft and axial thrust in the other direction. |
In the O arrangement (back-to-back), the bearings accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions. The distance between the load application points enables good rigidity when subjected to tilting torque. |
In an X arrangement (face to face), the bearings accommodate radial loads in both directions. The distance between the two load application points is shorter than that for the DB type. The ability to accommodate tilting torque is therefore lower. |
Cages :
Series 7200B and 7300B angular contact ball bearings are manufactured with a pressed steel or a polyamide cage. Large-dimension bearings come with machined brass cages.
